Florida 4 Hour Basic Driver Improvement

| If you have a Florida Driver's license OR you received a ticket in Florida, then the 4 Hour Basic Driver Improvement (BDI & TCAC) course is for you! By taking the class, you are eligible for an 18% fine reduction (civil penalty only), no points on your record for the current violation, no insurance increases as long as there is no accident associated with the ticket (statute 318.14 (9)), and your safe driver status will be maintained. |

Course Details
Step 1. Video Traffic School Registration
When you register for video traffic school, you will be asked to enter the following information:
- Name, Email Address, Address, Phone
- Date of Birth and Gender
- Drivers License Number, Ticket County and Citation Number
The citation number is printed on your ticket and is seven characters long. Do NOT include the last "check digit" of the citation number. For example: 1234ABC or 123456A.
If you do not know your citation number, contact the Florida Clerk of Court in the county where you received your traffic ticket.
Select the course on video tape or DVD.
Select the language in which you would like to take the course: English or Spanish.
Step 2. We will mail your Traffic School Video/DVD
Once your registration is complete, we will send your Video/DVD traffic school package including:
- Instructions and an answer sheet to fill out as you watch the video.
- Your test, which you will take at the end of the course (you may refer back to the video for assistance with the test questions).
- An envelope to mail your answer sheet back to us.
Step 3. Take the course.
- Fill in all the information on the instruction sheet.
- Watch the video.
- Answer the test questions.
- Mail the instruction sheet and answers back to us in the envelope we provide.
Step 4. Receive your Florida Traffic School certificate.
We will send you your certificate within one business day of when we receive your completed answer sheet (by fax or mail) by standard mail.
If you like, when you complete the course you can select overnight delivery for a nominal fee.
If you are under the purview of the Florida state DMV, you may elect to obtain your certificate by email by providing a fee to our online Florida traffic school fulfillment center.
Step 5. Submit your Traffic School certificate to the Clerk of Court
It is your responsibility to submit your certificate to the county clerk in the county where you received your ticket. Be sure to submit it before your deadline.
